About the Role
The individual in this role will oversee the administration of grants after award approval, supporting financial and compliance requirements across multiple projects and sponsors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor grant accounts to ensure adherence to funding terms
- Prepare and submit required financial and progress reports
- Collaborate with project teams to track expenditures
- Ensure compliance with sponsor regulations and internal policies
- Assist in the interpretation of grant award conditions
- Maintain accurate records of post-award activity
- Coordinate with finance staff on budget adjustments
- Track spending against approved budgets
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Facilitate communication between researchers and funding entities
- Manage modifications to existing grants
- Process no-cost extensions and budget revisions
- Identify potential risks in grant compliance
- Provide guidance on allowable costs under grant agreements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of funding agency requirements
- Assist in the closeout process for completed grants
- Ensure timely submission of final financial reports
- Work with legal and contracts team on grant terms
- Organize grant documentation for easy retrieval
- Train staff on post-award procedures
- Respond to inquiries from project leads
- Update grant management systems with current data
- Support the development of grant performance metrics
- Participate in cross-functional meetings related to grants
- Promote best practices in grant administration
