Williams Lea by RRD is hiring a Picker/Packer 2 - Assembly (1st Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Support order fulfillment by retrieving and preparing warehouse items for shipping
  • Help manage inventory levels and maintain organized storage of products and customer-provided materials
  • Contribute to employee training and ongoing process improvement initiatives
  • Select and package various printed items using multiple packing methods
  • Follow precise instructions to complete standard packing tasks
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment by assembling them into boxes or containers
  • Use computers and warehouse management systems to track and process orders
  • Complete related tasks such as labeling packages, inserting manuals, and handling finished boxes
  • Verify shipping details are correct and ensure timely dispatch of packages
  • Organize, label, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets, or in storage containers
  • Maintain required levels of productivity and quality in daily operations
  • Recognize potential problems and escalate to team leads or supervisors for resolution
  • Take part in ongoing employee and temporary worker training and development
  • Count and categorize different product types accurately
  • Handle printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or in-process materials by feeding, removing, flexing, jogging, or stacking as needed
  • Manually load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
  • Load freight onto trucks and secure with strapping, bracing, or padding using hand tools
  • Move materials between storage and work areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or similar equipment
  • Occasionally operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to transport heavy materials
  • Support special assignments or more intricate customer order requirements
  • Help uphold warehouse safety and security protocols
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors
