Responsibilities
- Select and package diverse printed materials and related products using multiple packing methods and techniques.
- Follow precise instructions to complete standard packing tasks and prepare finished goods for shipment by assembling them into boxes or containers.
- Apply labels to packages, insert manuals into binders, handle packaging materials, and verify shipping details are correct and shipments meet scheduled timelines.
- Position, organize, label, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets, or within containers, bins, and bulk storage areas.
- Maintain required levels of productivity and quality as defined by operational standards.
- Tally and categorize different types of product components or finished items.
- Feed, remove, flex, jog, or stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process materials to and from production equipment as needed.
- Manually load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; load goods into trucks and secure them with strapping, bracing, or padding using hand tools to prevent movement or damage during transit.
- Transport materials from storage or work areas to designated locations using hand trucks, electric dollies, or similar equipment; occasionally operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to aid in moving products.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
