Responsibilities
- Select and package diverse printed items using various packing methods and techniques
- Follow detailed instructions to carry out routine packing tasks
- Prepare finished goods by assembling them into shipping containers or boxes
- Attach labels, insert manuals, and handle boxes as part of final product preparation
- Ensure correct shipping documentation is applied and shipments are dispatched on schedule
- Organize, position, label, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets, or within storage units
- Meet defined benchmarks for both output volume and quality
- Count and categorize different types of products
- Feed, remove, flex, jog, or stack printed sheets, folded sections, labels, or work-in-progress materials as needed
- Manually load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, or shelves
- Load freight into trucks and secure it with strapping, bracing, or padding using hand tools
- Transport materials between storage or work areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or similar equipment
- Occasionally operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to aid in moving materials
- Complete additional tasks as directed
