Responsibilities
- Acts as a scribe to document and update therapeutic exercise records under the supervision of licensed therapy professionals.
- Assists in patient care by applying heat and cold therapies, preparing paraffin treatments, guiding patients to and from the therapy pool, and supporting them during prescribed exercises.
- Supports patient mobility by helping them access exercise equipment, monitoring movement, tracking exertion levels, and guiding proper technique.
- Maintains treatment equipment functionality by performing routine maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, identifying issues, and arranging repairs.
- Instructs patients on correct usage of therapy tools and exercise routines through live demonstrations.
- Prepares patients for treatment by greeting them, offering reassurance, and assisting with positioning or setup as needed.
- Responds to patient inquiries, addresses concerns, and helps reduce anxiety through clear communication.
- Protects patient privacy and organizational integrity by adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Promotes a safe and hygienic environment by following established safety and operational protocols.
- Prepares therapy tools and supplies by sterilizing, transporting, and organizing them in treatment areas for therapist access.
- Sets up treatment rooms according to established procedures before patient sessions begin.
- Handles incoming calls from medical facilities and patients with professionalism and strong customer service skills.
- Manages supply inventory by monitoring stock levels, forecasting needs, placing timely orders, and confirming deliveries.
- Provides front desk support when necessary, including call handling, scheduling assistance, and completing administrative tasks.
