Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapy Aide (Part Time)

Responsibilities

  • Document and modify therapeutic exercises under the guidance of a licensed physical or occupational therapist.
  • Assist in patient care by preparing heat and cold treatments, paraffin baths, and guiding patients to exercise equipment and pool.
  • Monitor patient movement and exertion levels, and guide them through prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Ensure proper functioning of treatment equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair coordination.
  • Instruct patients on the correct use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Prepare patients for therapy by welcoming, comforting, and assisting them into sessions.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns, and alleviate any fears they may have.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operational information.
  • Uphold a clean and safe work environment by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Sterilize and deliver equipment and supplies to the treatment area, and position them for therapist access.
  • Set up the treatment room according to prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Handle incoming calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients with excellent customer service skills.
  • Manage physical therapy supplies inventory by tracking stock levels, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
  • Provide front desk support, including answering calls and assisting with scheduling as needed.
  • Perform additional front desk duties and assignments as required.
