Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapy Aide (Part Time)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a documentation assistant for therapeutic exercise records under the guidance of licensed therapy professionals.
  • Support patient care by preparing thermal treatments, assisting with pool access, guiding use of exercise equipment, monitoring physical effort, and facilitating prescribed strengthening activities.
  • Ensure treatment equipment functions properly through routine maintenance, adherence to manufacturer guidelines, issue identification, and coordination of repairs.
  • Instruct patients in the correct use of therapy tools and exercise programs.
  • Prepare individuals for therapy by greeting, reassuring, and assisting them into treatment areas.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns with clarity and empathy to reduce anxiety.
  • Safeguard patient privacy and organizational integrity by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Promote a secure and hygienic environment by following established safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Manage therapy equipment and supplies by sterilizing, transporting, and arranging them for therapist access and patient use.
  • Set up treatment spaces according to standardized procedures before patient sessions.
  • Handle incoming calls from medical offices and patients with professionalism and strong customer service skills.
  • Monitor inventory levels of therapy supplies, anticipate needs, place timely orders, and confirm deliveries.
  • Cover front desk duties as necessary, including call management and appointment coordination.
  • Complete additional administrative and clinical support tasks as assigned.

  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Frequent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and verbal communication
  • Regularly required to lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • Required visual capabilities: close-up, distance, and depth perception vision
