Responsibilities
- Engages in direct patient care and communicates updates about patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Adheres to treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist while operating within state-defined scope of practice.
- Demonstrates professional judgment, care, and technical competence in all assigned tasks.
- Provides clear instruction and guidance to patients on therapeutic exercises and recovery processes.
- Recognizes individual patient needs and responds with empathy and support.
- Communicates recommendations for treatment adjustments to ensure patient progress, safety, and comfort.
- Enters accurate documentation into the electronic medical record under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, including daily notes requiring co-signature.

- Assists in treatment delivery by applying thermal agents, supporting use of exercise equipment, monitoring mobility, and performing prescribed therapeutic activities as directed.
