KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Pharmacist Part-Time (less than 30 hours a week)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department
  • Assists in the training and development of subordinate staff
  • Estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates
  • Interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
  • Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
  • Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients
  • Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed
  • Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
  • Follows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy
  • Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims
  • Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs
  • Oversees the transmitting, processing and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed
  • Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns
  • Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
  • Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to allow for a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times
  • Ensure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
  • Assist in the implementation of all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs are fully executed and implemented
  • Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment
  • Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
  • Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
  • Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel
  • Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
  • Assist in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel, including use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program
  • Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
