Trend Micro is hiring a Performance Marketing Specialist

Drive performance across key Asian markets by managing end-to-end paid media campaigns in Japan and Taiwan. This role focuses on generating new subscription sales, supporting renewal efforts, and improving digital conversion through strategic use of search, display, and affiliate channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, launch, and refine paid campaigns on Google Japan, Yahoo! Japan, LINE Ads, and local Taiwan platforms
  • Ensure paid traffic directs to optimised, SEO-friendly landing pages within the online store
  • Monitor and adjust budgets, bids, and pacing across multiple platforms in real time
  • Deliver weekly performance reports with actionable insights and clear recommendations
  • Collaborate with organic search and affiliate leads to align audience targeting and landing page strategy
  • Support OEM trial conversion initiatives by connecting offline trials to online sign-ups
  • Work alongside the Renewal Sales team to integrate digital follow-ups with physical direct mail campaigns
  • Develop and refine retargeting strategies for manual renewal audiences
  • Coordinate with designers and developers in Manila to define clear landing page requirements
  • Provide localisation input for ad copy, creatives, and landing page content tailored to Japan and Taiwan
  • Align campaign schedules with product and sales initiatives through coordination with Tokyo-based program leads
  • Support ANZ and broader APAC markets as needed

Qualifications

You bring at least three years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, with direct exposure to Japan and/or Taiwan’s digital ecosystems. Familiarity with Yahoo! Japan Ads, Google Japan, or LINE Ads is highly beneficial. You communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken, to collaborate daily with teams in Sydney, Tokyo, and Manila.

A strong grasp of SEO fundamentals and how they interact with paid channels is essential. You’re comfortable working with subscription-based or eCommerce models and have experience using data to guide decisions — from pulling reports to identifying trends and presenting outcomes clearly.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven success running campaigns in Japan and Taiwan
  • Understanding of local consumer behaviour, platform differences, and content adaptation needs
  • Experience managing affiliate networks in Japanese or Taiwanese markets
  • Knowledge of physical-to-digital conversion paths, such as direct mail leading to online purchases
  • Familiarity with tag management and conversion tracking tools like Google Tag Manager
  • Experience briefing remote creative and development teams
  • Background in software, SaaS, or consumer subscription services

Technology Environment

You’ll work with Google Japan, Yahoo! Japan Ads, LINE Ads, Google Tag Manager, SEO analytics tools, eCommerce platforms, and conversion tracking systems.
