McCormick was looking for a Payroll Manager

McCormick is looking for a Payroll Manager to provide operational leadership for our payroll processes across the EMEA region. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, continuity, and quality of payroll in a complex multi-country environment, with occasional interactions in North America.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and coordinate payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex payroll issues and cross-functional operational challenges.
  • Serve as a backup for key functions within the region, notably UK payroll if necessary.
  • Provide occasional support for activities outside EMEA, including North America and South Africa.
  • Support the France Payroll team on complex or high-stakes activities.
  • Provide expertise on specific cases or processes like profit-sharing calculations and complex regulatory changes.
  • Monitor performance indicators (KPIs), service levels, and the quality of payroll process execution across countries.
  • Identify operational risks and secure the continuity of payroll activities for your assigned scope.
  • Ensure quality documentation, audit preparation, and compliance with internal policies and local legislation.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits as needed.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and Total Rewards teams to ensure alignment and a high level of service.

What We're Looking For

  • Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Management, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in payroll, ideally gained in complex multi-country environments.
  • Proven experience managing or coordinating payroll across an EMEA scope.
  • Good knowledge of French payroll legislation.
  • Experience managing complex situations and payroll escalations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong data analysis skills.
  • Natural leadership, influencing skills, and comfort in a matrix environment.
  • Fluent English is essential.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to North America payroll.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
