As a Payroll Accountant, you’ll oversee the complete payroll cycle for both employees and contractors, ensuring every payment is accurate, on time, and fully compliant with local regulations. Your work will directly support financial integrity and employee trust across a globally distributed organization.
What You’ll Do
- Process payroll from start to finish, including accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Generate detailed payroll registers and compensation summaries for internal review
- Ensure all payroll-related payments are executed by deadlines
- Reconcile payroll accounts monthly—covering salaries, liabilities, accruals, and tax obligations
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations on employment changes, leave tracking, and terminations
- Produce reports for leadership and stakeholders to support financial planning and audits
- Maintain organized, up-to-date payroll records and documentation
- Support external audits and tax inspections with timely, accurate data
- File required tax reports according to local legal requirements
- Contribute to improving and automating payroll workflows for greater efficiency
What We Need From You
- Proven experience processing full-cycle payroll
- Background in preparing tax filings and statutory reports
- Familiarity with calculating vacation, sick leave, and final settlements
- Hands-on experience with ERP payroll modules
- Strong ability to reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Working knowledge of English (B1 or higher)
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Payroll reporting experience in Cyprus
- Use of AI-powered tools in accounting or payroll tasks
- Experience automating processes or optimizing reporting workflows
