Deliver and set up respiratory devices at patient residences and healthcare facilities, ensuring each unit is properly assembled, inspected, and tested before use. Guide patients and caregivers through basic operation and maintenance procedures, offering clear instruction in compliance with state regulations.
Collect and verify customer information accurately, addressing needs proactively to reduce follow-up requirements. Document all interactions and service activities within the patient's record, maintaining thorough and timely records for each visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport medical equipment using a company vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and completing required vehicle checks
- Complete delivery, pickup, and testing documentation with precision
- Provide remote and in-person training on device usage, emphasizing safety and proper handling
- Process credit card payments using approved company methods
- Respond to on-call requests as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain current driver’s license and complete all mandated safe driving training
- Follow company policies and ensure punctual, consistent attendance
Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience delivering home medical equipment. Proficiency with laptops, electronic tablets, and Microsoft Office is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred applicants will have prior experience in oxygen therapy or respiratory care and at least two years in the home medical equipment field. Familiarity with current treatments for cardio-pulmonary conditions is an asset. All employees must uphold safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Compensation & Work Environment
This is a locally based, part-time position with variable hours, including potential after-hours, weekend, and holiday shifts. The hourly pay range is $19.44 to $22.36. The role involves regular local travel using a non-commercial vehicle to transport medical equipment.
