About the Role
This position involves providing direct support to attorneys through legal documentation, research, and case coordination while maintaining compliance and accuracy across all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize legal documents for filings and internal use
- Assist in drafting correspondence and communication with clients or agencies
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and filings
- Maintain case files and ensure records are up to date
- Support attorneys during trial preparation and hearings
- Manage deadlines and track key dates for legal proceedings
- Review and summarize depositions, affidavits, and discovery materials
- File documents with courts and regulatory bodies as required
- Coordinate with external parties to obtain necessary records
- Ensure compliance with procedural rules and jurisdictional requirements
- Assist in preparing pleadings, motions, and other court papers
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical document systems
- Participate in client intake and case assessment processes
- Support notarization and authentication of legal documents
- Track billing and time records for legal services rendered
- Communicate with legal secretaries and administrative staff on case needs
- Monitor changes in regulations affecting active cases
- Assist in managing subpoena requests and responses
- Prepare exhibits and trial binders for court presentation
- Conduct conflict checks and due diligence tasks
