We're looking for a skilled Papiamento Language Specialist to support the development of AI systems by assessing and enhancing their performance in real-world language use. You'll interact directly with AI models, evaluating their responses across diverse topics and identifying issues in grammar, tone, syntax, and meaning.
What You'll Do
- Engage in conversations with AI in Papiamento to test comprehension and expression
- Review outputs for linguistic correctness and cultural appropriateness
- Identify recurring errors and document failure patterns clearly
- Provide feedback to improve how prompts are structured and evaluated
- Test models on colloquial speech, regional expressions, and contextual understanding
- Explain your reasoning thoroughly to support model refinement
What We Require
- Deep knowledge of Papiamento, including spelling, grammar, pronunciation, idioms, and cultural references specific to Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao
- Strong analytical and explanatory skills
- Access to a secure computer and stable high-speed internet connection
Preferred Background
- Degree in Linguistics, Translation, Literature, or a related discipline
- Professional experience in language teaching, translation, editing, or localization
This is a freelance contractor position with full remote flexibility. Compensation ranges from $8 to $65 per hour, adjusted based on experience, expertise, and location. No company-sponsored benefits are provided.
