Responsibilities
- Research designated cities across regions to gather information from authorized sources, improving the precision of mapping services for better user experiences.
- Promote the geographic mission to official organizations and connect with prospective collaborators to contribute foundational map data, mainly by advocating for the Geo Data Upload (GDU) Tool using provided materials.
- Act as a liaison between outside contributors and internal technical teams to clarify specifications, verify data quality, and coordinate updates regarding corrections or modifications.
- Share updates on outreach activities and operational challenges with the Outreach Operations Lead, including findings related to partner needs, engagement paths, incentives, obstacles, data deficiencies, and effective outreach methods.
- Oversee and monitor all data submissions, whether through the GDU system or alternative channels, in coordination with operations teams and external collaborators.
- Maintain internal planning systems by entering timely updates, including records of research efforts, outreach attempts, declined engagements, and resulting data contributions.
- Track and report on key outputs such as the count of contacted or onboarded partners, newly discovered open data sources, submitted datasets, and edits originating from outreach initiatives.
- Respond to and resolve inquiries from external contributors related to data submission processes and collaboration requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve workflow or technical issues reported by authoritative data providers, demonstrating strong comprehension of data formats and structures.
- Oversee the data workflow from initial receipt of partner-submitted information through to scheduling launches, ensuring compliance with defined quality standards.
- Use both proprietary and third-party tools to initiate contact with new partners and maintain communication logs.
