About the Role
The role involves developing and executing test automation strategies to support continuous integration and delivery. The engineer will collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to identify test requirements, build scalable test scripts, and improve overall system reliability through proactive quality measures.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test frameworks for web and API applications
- Write, execute, and maintain test scripts using modern programming languages
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to identify test scenarios
- Analyze test results and report defects with clear reproduction steps
- Ensure test coverage aligns with functional and non-functional requirements
- Optimize test execution speed and reliability
- Maintain version control for test code and configurations
- Support debugging efforts by providing detailed test logs and outputs
- Participate in agile ceremonies and planning sessions
- Contribute to test strategy documentation
- Monitor production behavior to inform test case improvements
- Validate system performance under automated test conditions
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards during testing
- Stay current with emerging test automation tools and methodologies
- Improve test data management practices
- Develop end-to-end test scenarios for complex workflows
- Troubleshoot test environment issues
- Support cross-browser and cross-platform testing needs
- Promote reusability and modularity in test design
- Assist in onboarding new team members to test frameworks
- Evaluate third-party testing tools for potential adoption
- Document test automation processes and best practices
- Work with infrastructure teams to ensure test environment stability
- Contribute to post-release quality reviews
