Visit.org was looking for an Operations & Legal Compliance Manager

Visit.org is hiring a remote Operations & Legal Compliance Manager based in Mexico. This contract role is central to supporting our business operations, legal compliance, and administrative functions in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll join a team empowering each other to innovate and create processes that use technology to generate meaningful, lasting change.

What You'll Do

  • Support business operations, including insurance, compliance, people operations, budgeting, external partnerships, and new vendor management.
  • Coordinate meeting schedules and agendas with attendees across global time zones and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain reports, presentations, meeting notes, and process maps.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing solutions for company-wide workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts for operational expenses.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and external partners to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Assist with data entry and reporting.
  • Book and manage global company travel, accommodations, and itineraries.
  • Support cross-functional teams with administrative support and refine internal practices for productivity.
  • Assist in reviewing NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts to flag risks and suggest edits.
  • Help maintain and update internal contract templates in coordination with leadership.
  • Conduct basic research on commercial, privacy, or employment regulations.
  • Liaise with teams to understand contract requirements and communicate legal considerations clearly.
  • Help develop workflows to streamline legal document review and approval processes.
  • Draft simple agreements or contract amendments using templates under guidance.

What We're Looking For

  • Familiarity with key commercial contract terms like indemnity, confidentiality, termination, and liability.
  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify legal risk in simple contracts.
  • Able to multitask, problem-solve, work independently, and manage many projects and priorities at once.
  • Experience coordinating and managing communications for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Comfortable using technology systems and conducting data analysis.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based or international startups.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Passion for our mission and the desire to make an impact through technology.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with contract management systems or CRM platforms like HubSpot or Ironclad.
  • Interest in business operations, tech, social impact, or compliance.
  • Familiarity with tools like DocuSign, Dropbox, or Monday.com.
