Lead and optimize regional operations for subcontracted plants across Greece and the Balkans, ensuring consistent execution in production, quality, safety, and cost control. You will oversee the implementation of standardized operating procedures across handling, storage, inventory, inspection, and conditioning processes, aligning performance with corporate standards.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Drive efficiency by applying Lean methodologies, PDCA cycles, and value stream mapping to identify and resolve operational challenges. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by leading problem-solving initiatives and supporting innovation in plant design and workflow. Collaborate with engineering and digital teams to implement new technologies such as COLT and diagnostic systems, enhancing equipment reliability and performance metrics.
Compliance, Safety & Sustainability
Ensure full compliance with safety policies, environmental regulations, and phytosanitary standards including ISPM15. Lead safety audits, communicate critical alerts, and support business continuity planning. Champion sustainability initiatives such as zero waste to landfill, energy efficiency, and decarbonization through subcontractor engagement.
Leadership & Collaboration
Manage external partners and support qualification efforts across supply chain functions. Train and audit plant teams on standard work procedures, reinforcing high performance and autonomy. Act as the primary liaison for digital, engineering, and quality teams, and prepare for leadership visits from global stakeholders. Support commercial growth by leading trials and enabling new market or product expansions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluent in English and Greek, with a valid driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years in plant supervision within manufacturing or engineering
- Proven experience in safety program management and cross-functional collaboration
- Understanding of supply chain KPIs and cost models (fixed and variable)
- Engineering degree or LEAN certification preferred
