Nomura is hiring an Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Handling middle office and settlement processes related to Equity, Listed Equities derivatives and clearing member process related to these products including margining, risk management of trades, EOD reporting etc.
  • Regulatory reporting includes margin reporting, collateral reporting, FPI client mapping, UCC, Holding, Shortage, Enhanced supervision etc.
  • Sound knowledge about margining rules and other exchange / regulatory requirements is a must
  • Independently work with trading and sales team and other support functions like Finance, Compliance, Legal Risk Management and regional / global counterparts for day-to-day matters
  • Liaise with external parties like clients, banks, custodians, exchanges and clearing corporation.
  • Co-ordinate with trader desk, clients and global teams
  • Knowledge of processes related to Currency & Interest Rate derivatives and IPOs/ QIP/ Tender offer/ OFS will be an advantage
  • Participate as SME in projects and change Initiatives including set up of new processes, procedures and UAT
  • Prepare MIS and KRI reports
  • Candidate must be inclined towards Automations and have a design thinking mindset
  • Should have control mindset and expect to proactively identify gaps in processes and independently work on solutions for such gaps.
  • Expected to work on regional initiatives & mandates.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate / Graduate
  • 15-17 years of experience in Equity Derivatives Operations preferably within middle office / client facing function
  • Must have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the settlement processes & Stock Exchange regulations, stakeholder management
  • Sound knowledge about margining rules and other exchange / regulatory requirements is a must
  • Independently work with trading and sales team and other support functions like Finance, Compliance, Legal Risk Management and regional / global counterparts for day-to-day matters
