KARL STORZ Endoscopy is hiring an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist

Role Overview

As an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist, you will be embedded within hospital environments, delivering direct technical support for advanced endoscopic systems. Your primary responsibility is ensuring that medical instruments and video equipment are functioning optimally for surgical teams. You'll collaborate with Sterile Processing Departments, Operating Room staff, and biomedical technicians to maintain device readiness and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-person support to clinical teams across ORs, SPD, and Biomed departments
  • Set up, test, and troubleshoot video towers and imaging systems
  • Inspect, diagnose, and manage repairs or replacements for endoscopic instruments
  • Track device status, report issues, and coordinate repair or exchange logistics
  • Handle post-procedure tasks including transport, cleaning, sterilization, and repackaging of devices
  • Resolve real-time technical challenges during surgical procedures
  • Oversee repair workflows and ensure timely return of equipment to service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in Sterile Processing, Surgical Technology, or related medical support role
  • Strong command of written and spoken English for professional communication
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team-based, customer-facing environments
  • Skilled in organization, time management, and multitasking under pressure
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel for data entry and reporting
  • Capable of lifting or moving equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Must pass a drug screening as part of safety-sensitive protocols

Preferred Background

  • Associate’s degree in a technical or healthcare-related field
  • CRCST certification or active pursuit of credentialing
