Nexstar Media Inc. is looking for a Part-Time Temporary News Photographer to shoot sports video and other content for our Grand Rapids news station. In this role, you will capture video for news and lifestyle segments, edit clips for broadcast, and operate live equipment.
What You'll Do
- Shoot video for news and lifestyle reporters, anchors, and hosts
- Confer with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics, and shot requirements
- Set up, compose, and execute video shots
- Maintain video equipment
- Edit video clips for television broadcasts and eMedia content
- Operate live microwave and satellite trucks in remote situations
- Assist executive producer and show producer with aspects of overall show production, including fill-in producing
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma
- Minimum two years’ experience operating video recording equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work any shift
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency with video recording equipment
Nice to Have
- Some college coursework or vocational training
