Responsibilities
- Performs long-range analysis for grid power imports and evaluates transmission interconnection needs and initiatives.
- Leads major design initiatives from initial concept through construction, ensuring adherence to policies, timelines, electrical standards, and budget constraints.
- Develops and designs plans to support the electrical distribution network, including resource identification and cost estimation for new infrastructure projects.
- Makes strategic decisions influencing project direction, schedule, scope, and financial parameters.
- Conducts on-site inspections to collect planning data and confirm construction alignment with approved designs.
- Evaluates regional distribution system capacity and adherence to established planning benchmarks.
- Executes power flow simulations, constructs modeling frameworks, and delivers economic evaluations to inform near- and long-term system planning.
- Monitors system performance to meet reliability goals and investigates outages for root causes, patterns, and duration.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and project deadlines.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends, regulatory standards, and evolving customer requirements, engaging diverse stakeholders to fulfill design objectives.
- Delivers training and operational support while managing team workload as needed.
- Upholds strict protocols for safeguarding physical, financial, and cyber assets, and responsibly handles sensitive data including customer information and confidential records.

- This position’s work mode is hybrid.
- Employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.
- The primary work location for this position is the Pomona Innovation Village.
- The successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at alternate work location.
- Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
- This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email.

- Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
