About the Role

Pacific Life is hiring a New Business Case Manager I to support the M Channel. This role is key to the company's growth, focusing on providing exceptional customer service, operations support, and problem resolution to producers, policy owners, broker/dealer back-offices, and other customers.

What You'll Do

  • Gather information about product capabilities relative to specific customer needs.
  • Review customer inquiries, problems, requests, and suggestions to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Negotiate customer claims, initiate billing adjustments, and arrange product substitutions and returns.
  • Research and provide problem resolution, detailed information on services, and assistance with paperwork and technical inquiries.
  • Resolve most customer concerns and problems using established procedures.
  • Navigate and process efficiently within multiple operational systems.

  • Analytical skills and ability to think outside the box to meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Motivation and ability to learn new concepts quickly and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and anticipate and respond to requests for service.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Business writing and ability to communicate effectively based on audience (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency including basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Adept at learning new technical skills and systems.

Nice to Have

  • Strong customer skills with 2-5 years’ experience in a related customer service role.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
