About the Role
The position involves evaluating and managing patients with cognitive impairments, including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, using telemedicine tools to deliver high-quality neurological care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote neurological assessments for patients with memory and cognitive issues
- Diagnose and manage neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's and vascular dementia
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Monitor patient progress through regular virtual follow-ups
- Interpret neuropsychological testing results
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists
- Educate patients and caregivers about disease progression and care strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Stay current with advances in dementia research and treatment guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support clinical decision-making using evidence-based protocols
- Respond to urgent patient concerns within established timeframes
- Contribute to the development of cognitive disorder care pathways
- Engage in peer review and case discussions
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
