The candidate will support network operations by diagnosing issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring system uptime through proactive monitoring and collaboration with technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and system alerts around the clock
- Respond to incidents with timely diagnosis and resolution
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring network problems
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate engineering teams
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations
- Support firewall and routing infrastructure maintenance
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across multiple platforms
- Implement network changes following approved change procedures
- Assist in patching and updating network devices
- Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities
- Support compliance with federal cybersecurity standards
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support
- Track incidents and resolutions using ticketing systems
- Verify backup operations for critical network components
- Assist in capacity planning for network growth
- Test disaster recovery procedures for network systems
- Configure and manage switches, routers, and firewalls
- Ensure secure access controls across network segments
- Support integration of new network technologies
- Maintain network diagrams and architecture documentation
- Work with vendors to resolve hardware or service issues
- Enforce network usage policies and access standards
- Conduct routine audits of network device configurations
- Assist in onboarding new services or cloud integrations
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
