Responsibilities
- Own and strengthen the technical foundations of the mobile banking app
- Ensure the mobile platform operates as a reliable, high-quality foundation for product teams
- Understand product teams' needs and remove blockers
- Drive adoption of new tools and processes through mentoring, documentation, and training
- Set high engineering standards for the mobile codebase
- Manage the trade-off between engineering standards and product team flow
- Guide architectural decisions and platform improvements with hands-on depth
- Support ongoing maintenance and development of native libraries in Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, and Java
- Collaboratively explore and decide on a potential move to Expo
Requirements
- Proven experience in a platform-focused leadership role for mobile applications
- Strong understanding of mobile engineering architecture, developer experience, and release quality
- Hands-on technical depth to guide architectural decisions and platform improvements
- Experience working with React Native for iOS and Android
- Experience maintaining and supporting native libraries in Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, and Java
Nice to Have
- Experience evaluating or migrating to Expo for React Native projects
