Join a team building core perception technologies for autonomous vehicles. You'll design and implement machine learning-driven systems that enable vehicles to understand and respond to dynamic environments. This role focuses on creating robust, scalable solutions for real-time world modeling and perception, directly impacting how autonomous systems perceive and navigate complex scenarios.
What You'll Do
- Design, train, and refine machine learning models that power perception and world modeling capabilities in autonomous systems
- Develop and optimize algorithms for constructing 4D representations of dynamic environments
- Integrate and evaluate perception components within full autonomy stacks using real-world vehicle data
- Collaborate with research, data, and behavior teams to advance ML-driven autonomy across multiple domains
- Drive improvements in system performance through iterative testing and deployment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of three years building software for real-world perception challenges
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
- Proven experience developing machine learning models from data collection through to production deployment
- Deep understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of machine learning and computer vision frameworks
- Curiosity about emerging research and ability to assess technical trends for real-world applicability
Preferred Background
- Advanced degree in perception or a closely related field
- Hands-on experience with ML-based perception systems in autonomous platforms
- Knowledge of current advancements in computer vision, including reconstruction, diffusion models, pre-trained vision systems, and world modeling techniques
Technical Environment
Work with C++, Python, and modern machine learning frameworks to build perception systems, 4D world representations, and components of the full autonomous vehicle stack.
Work Model
This is an onsite role with primary work based at one of the company's engineering locations. Employees are expected to work from the office most days, with flexibility to accommodate personal needs while maintaining team collaboration and productivity.
Benefits
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
- Life and disability coverage
- 401k retirement plan with employer contributions
- Stipends for learning and wellness activities
- Paid time off
Compensation
Annual salary ranges from $125,000 to $222,000 USD, with additional equity in the form of stock options or restricted stock units. Total compensation includes base pay, learning stipends, and wellness benefits.
