Responsibilities

• Develop and refine real-time visual effects and shader systems to meet the project's aesthetic targets.
• Design, build, and optimize advanced real-time shader graphs and material setups to support visual effects and broader rendering requirements, including custom render passes and post-processing effects.
• Assist in researching and adopting new rendering methods, specialized visual effects tools, and procedural approaches to elevate visual fidelity.
• Collaborate with lead and technical artists to convert conceptual VFX designs into functional in-game assets.
• Engage in regular review cycles, feedback discussions, and iterative refinement processes.
• Share technical knowledge, discoveries, and improved workflows across the team while keeping up with evolving standards in real-time effects and performance optimization.
• Produce and keep current detailed technical documentation for assets and systems.
• Proactively detect technical challenges and future production risks, then propose, test, and document sustainable technical resolutions.
• Stay informed about new technologies, engine developments, and industry advancements to maintain efficient and competitive technical art practices.
