You will analyze production processes in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment, then translate business goals into functional MES designs. Your work will span the full project lifecycle—from requirements gathering to go-live—ensuring solutions align with operational needs and technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study manufacturing workflows in areas like production scheduling, quality control, and material traceability to identify system requirements
  • Design end-to-end MES processes using Opcenter Execution Discrete that support business objectives and shop-floor efficiency
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, process models (BPMN), use cases, and testing criteria
  • Collaborate with technical teams to guide system configuration and ensure alignment with manufacturing standards
  • Support integration with enterprise systems such as ERP (including SAP), automation platforms, and shop-floor devices
  • Lead and validate testing phases, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Verify that implemented processes reflect real-world operations and meet user expectations
  • Assist in training end users, preparing documentation, and managing change across teams
  • Serve as the primary functional contact during implementation and post-launch support phases

Required Expertise

  • Proven knowledge of MES and manufacturing operations management concepts, including work order management, routing logic, WIP tracking, and non-conformance workflows
  • Hands-on experience configuring Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete from a functional standpoint
  • Familiarity with ISA-95 frameworks and production execution models
  • Background in discrete manufacturing settings with exposure to KPIs such as OEE, scrap rates, and downtime
  • Understanding of roles on the shop floor, including operators, supervisors, and quality personnel
  • Strong ability to facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Structured problem-solving approach with a focus on practical, user-centered solutions
  • Experience working in multinational or multi-site projects
  • Minimum of 3–6 years in MES, digital manufacturing, or related IT projects
  • Direct involvement in at least one complete Opcenter Discrete implementation from design through production launch

Preferred Background

  • Experience integrating MES with ERP platforms, particularly SAP, in live production environments

Technology Environment

Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), automation interfaces, shop-floor integration layers, BPMN modeling, and ISA-95 standards.
