About the Role
This role involves delivering high-quality mental health services to seniors through virtual sessions, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with healthcare providers to support holistic patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote clinical evaluations for older adults experiencing emotional or psychological challenges
- Deliver individual therapy using evidence-based practices tailored to aging populations
- Develop and update personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress
- Monitor patient symptoms and adjust interventions as necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document all clinical interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain strong therapeutic rapport with clients and their families
- Provide crisis intervention when needed
- Support patients in managing anxiety, depression, grief, and other mental health concerns
- Educate patients and caregivers about mental wellness strategies
- Ensure adherence to ethical and confidentiality guidelines
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities
- Respond promptly to patient communications within established protocols
- Use telehealth platforms effectively and securely
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Follow all state licensing requirements and professional standards
- Assist in identifying social and community resources for patients
- Contribute to care planning discussions with medical and social service providers
- Support transitions of care when patients change living situations or treatment levels
Nice to Have
- Experience working with patients who have dementia or neurocognitive disorders
- Training in trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
- Certification in geriatric mental health
- Background in cognitive behavioral therapy for late-life depression
- Experience using digital assessment tools

- Bilingual proficiency, especially in languages common among New York seniors
