AECOM is hiring a Mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret contract documents, technical drawings, specifications, and safety protocols, including all revisions.
  • Verify contractor adherence to contractual standards via field observation, measurement, and testing, while monitoring quality assurance milestones.
  • Record daily logs of contractor workforce deployment and equipment utilization on site.
  • Conduct required site inspections and supervision tasks as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
  • Document contractor personnel, equipment, observed activities, locations, purposes, and methods used within assigned areas.
  • Report on material deliveries and execute site instructions issued by supervisory personnel.
  • Enforce site-specific quality control measures and procedural requirements.
  • Carry out and confirm implementation of directives from project leadership.
  • Apply consistent quality assurance practices across all site operations.
  • Perform and prepare necessary field measurements and survey verifications as requested by supervisors.
  • Inspect work processes to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, performance benchmarks, and regulatory codes.
  • Observe and report on health and safety practices during construction, identifying and documenting any violations.
