Responsibilities
- Assist in process development and documentation for new product launches, engineering changes, and pilot runs, challenge includes meeting launch deadlines while maintaining production flow.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for complex manufacturing and quality issues, using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, drive improvement recommendations, and monitor effectiveness of implemented solutions
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material and component quality, addressing issues and supporting corrective actions as needed
- Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to support ongoing improvements and align with operational goals, challenge includes managing stakeholder expectations and communication flow.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering role
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related engineering field
- Must be available to travel a few times per year to Indianapolis, IN
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, or similar quality software)
- Due to our government contract, applicants must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Experience with supplier quality management and auditing
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, or other relevant quality management systems
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, etc.)
- Experience with product lifecycle management processes
