About the Role
The Manual QA Engineer will be responsible for identifying bugs and ensuring product reliability by executing test cases, reporting defects, and verifying fixes throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking systems
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements
- Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are fully resolved
- Participate in agile ceremonies including planning and reviews
- Maintain up-to-date test documentation and regression suites
- Perform functional, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Validate application behavior across multiple devices and browsers
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for user stories
- Ensure testing aligns with project timelines and release schedules
- Communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies
- Review specifications and technical designs for testability
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge-case issues
- Verify localization and internationalization requirements
- Ensure compliance with defined quality standards
- Collaborate on test environment setup and configuration
- Report on test coverage and defect metrics
- Assist in preparing release notes and deployment checklists
- Stay current with industry testing best practices
