Responsibilities
- Work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations, and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency
- Demonstrate knowledge of prevailing tax laws and developments
- Apply knowledge of current issues in tax, regulatory requirements and industry specific concerns to clients and be able to identify where they may impact a client and recommend strategies
- Be proficient in the preparation of various tax returns, including, but not limited to: Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate
- Proactive, self-motivated, well organized, and possess the ability to manage work effectively with others while managing client relationships
- Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team
- Superior attention to detail
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA
- At least 7+ years of experience in a CPA firm
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
Nice to Have
- Real Estate background
- Experience using UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite and Intuit products

Structure: Part of a US East Coast-based team; role operates within Reid Accountants + Advisors, an independent member of the Crete Professionals Alliance, under an alternative practice structure involving Reid CPAs, LLP and Reid Tax & Advisory Services, LLC.
