Wilson Elser is hiring a Manager of Technical Projects

Responsibilities

  • Direct the end-to-end lifecycle of intricate technical projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, while coordinating with diverse teams to maintain adherence to schedule, scope, and financial parameters.
  • Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, playing a central role in ensuring project effectiveness and successful outcomes.
  • Analyze and record comprehensive business requirements, conduct in-depth process assessments, design and oversee project plans, leverage data for decision-making, create testing strategies, manage quality assurance efforts, and support the development of instructional resources.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, partner with internal and external IT teams for software development, write detailed user stories, and manage workflows using JIRA as the primary tool for task and team coordination.
  • Work closely with leadership from Revenue and Finance divisions on cross-functional BSI initiatives involving LMS/Rippe, Data Analytics, Aderant, Power BI, third-party vendors, system integrations, and related technology projects.
  • Assist BSI team members with time-off planning, system permissions, training coordination, technical troubleshooting, and other operational needs.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively while aligning stakeholder expectations within a fast-moving and continuously changing legal services setting.

Hybrid — White Plains, NY

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the planning, management, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and will be instrumental in driving project success.
  • Interpret and document detailed business requirements, lead thorough business process discovery, formulate, and manage project plans, utilize data to make informed decisions, develop testing plans, lead quality assurance testing, and assist with the creation of training materials.
  • Lead requirements’ gathering sessions, collaborate with internal and external IT resources for application development needs, develop detailed user stories, manage projects with JIRA software, as their central application for all team and task management.
  • Collaborate with the firm's internal Revenue and Finance departments' leadership on all BSI cross-functional projects involving LMS/Rippe, Data Analytics & reporting, Aderant, Power BI, third party vendors, new software Integrations, and other initiatives.
  • Support BSI Department staff PTO scheduling, system access, training sessions, hardware and/or connectivity issues, and other matters.
  • Balance priorities while successfully managing expectations in the Firm's fast-paced, ever-evolving legal environment.
