Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to all maintenance requests on the production floor.
- Train production staff in correct setup and copy troubleshooting methods.
- Offer guidance and instruction to production technicians to enhance output and reduce downtime through proper techniques and handling.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software issues within assigned areas.
- Carry out accurate and timely repairs during production operations.
- Use illustrated parts and operations manuals for equipment repair, modification, and upkeep.
- Conduct daily inspections of machinery to identify potential issues, document findings, and schedule necessary work.
- Address assigned maintenance work orders in a timely fashion.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to the established PM plan and document using proper forms.
- Manage inventory of parts and equipment used from stock.
- Notify supervisor when parts or equipment are taken from inventory.
- Log all maintenance activities using appropriate digital systems or paper records.
- Train and mentor new maintenance technicians and review their work for quality and compliance.
- Complete required housekeeping tasks, including cleaning work areas, machines, and equipment, sweeping, and other assigned duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
