Lead Maintenance Operations in a High-Performance Manufacturing Environment
As Maintenance Manager, you will direct the maintenance team at a leading-edge food technology facility, ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. You are responsible for managing preventive and corrective maintenance, optimizing asset uptime, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that enhance plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the maintenance team, including performance evaluations, professional development, and day-to-day leadership
- Oversee execution of preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, compliance checks, and contractor work
- Enforce GMP and food safety protocols across all maintenance activities
- Champion a strong safety culture, collaborating with EHS and Food Safety teams on process safety, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
- Manage spare parts inventory and MRO supply chain to reduce downtime
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, improve reliability, and support capacity planning
- Provide technical guidance for equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement projects
- Lead capital project implementation, vendor coordination, and maintenance procurement
- Support emergency response efforts, including drills and incident management
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years in industrial maintenance within manufacturing
- At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Proven experience with preventive maintenance systems, MRO inventory, and asset reliability programs
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems
- Track record of improving productivity, equipment performance, or process efficiency
- Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems, and food safety requirements
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and safety program implementation
- Willingness to adapt schedule as needed, including evenings, weekends, or holidays
Preferred Experience
- Background in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Leadership in organizational change and team development
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
