Responsibilities
- Supervise the safe and efficient functioning of production and maintenance systems
- Stay informed on all operational issues occurring within your assigned plant area
- Record and report all equipment downtime incidents to management
- Provide estimated resolution times for each maintenance issue
- Communicate information clearly and professionally to management when requested
- Monitor maintenance staff to ensure proper use of work hours, including breaks and meals
- Conduct preventive maintenance audits and verify completion for your shift
- Promote collaboration and teamwork across shifts and departments
- Brief incoming personnel on unresolved and resolved issues affecting operations during your shift
- Send a daily summary documenting key events and activities
- Assign tasks to ensure all maintenance concerns are promptly addressed
- Support resolution of issues as needed
- Inform supervisors of crew-related issues involving policy or performance expectations
- Carry out all instructions from supervisors or maintenance leadership

- Employees are regularly exposed to cold, wet, and humid environments and moving machinery
- Occasional exposure to electrical hazards and vibration risks exists
- Work environment features high noise levels
- Frequent standing, walking, hand use, reaching, stooping, and kneeling are required
- Regular talking and hearing are necessary for job functions
- Employees must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- All employees must complete employee and safety orientation before starting duties
- Supervisors will orient new hires to the workplace, introduce them to staff, demonstrate tasks, and explain entry and exit procedures
- A probationary period is implemented to assess employee performance
- Employees are evaluated on job duties, attendance, punctuality, coworker and management interactions, attitudes, and work behaviors
- Performance issues and disciplinary actions are documented in corrective action reports
- Employees with no disciplinary records may qualify for pay increases per company policy
- Exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine are permitted for medical, religious, or personal conscience reasons
