Role Overview
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will oversee the upkeep and enhancement of key manufacturing systems, including die attach and wire bonders, welding units, ovens, and testing equipment. You'll lead a team of technicians, ensuring equipment reliability and driving improvements in efficiency, yield, and throughput.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance for production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.
- Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians, fostering technical growth and accountability.
- Plan and execute the installation and qualification of new equipment, coordinating facility requirements and vendor support.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers to enhance tool capabilities and resolve technical challenges.
- Identify and implement cost reduction projects while improving process stability and output.
- Work closely with process engineers to develop and update documentation for assembly and equipment procedures.
- Support production teams in boosting yield and units per hour through data-driven improvements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and internal policies.
- Apply risk-based thinking to maintenance planning and project execution.
- Contribute to continual improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Computer, or Telecommunication Engineering. Professional experience in test processes, product transfer, or networking is required. Familiarity with fiber-optic or laser-based products is essential. Candidates must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics and mechanical drawings and demonstrate a solid understanding of product development cycles and successful production ramp-ups.
Work Environment
This is a 100% onsite role located in a structured manufacturing setting. The position demands hands-on engagement with equipment and cross-functional teams.
