Join Side (formerly PTW) as a freelance remote LQA Game Tester for Simplified Chinese, working within our Localization Quality Assurance team. You will be the first to see the fully localized game, ensuring it is free from grammatical errors and cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized for the target audience. You will work on top gaming titles across various platforms for leading global publishers.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with a global project team.
- Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
- Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
- Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Write reports on errors and bugs found.
- Perform ad hoc translation.
- Oversee the quality of your work.
- Collaborate with the team and contribute to the overall success of projects.
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in Simplified Chinese.
- Conversational in English.
- Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for (Simplified Chinese).
- Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
- Robust Internet research skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
- Candidate must be located within Schengen Area.
