Responsibilities
- Inspect and confirm incoming shipments of materials, tools, and equipment by comparing contents to purchase orders and packing slips
- Manage delivery logistics and coordinate internal movement of materials to job sites and work teams
- Prepare and position materials in assigned laydown areas in alignment with project construction phases
- Report delivery schedules, material shortfalls, damages, or inconsistencies to project management
- Track and manage on-site inventory levels, including monitoring consumption and initiating reorders
- Label, sort, and safeguard materials to minimize loss, damage, or misplacement
- Facilitate the transfer of materials between project locations, storage units, or central warehouses as needed
- Participate in periodic inventory audits and assist with stock reconciliation processes
- Keep storage zones, containers, and laydown areas clean, orderly, and hazard-free
- Support compliance with housekeeping protocols according to company, client, and regulatory standards
- Clear away waste, packaging, and surplus materials to maintain productive work environments
- Collaborate with on-site supervisors, foremen, and crews to forecast upcoming material requirements
- Deliver routine updates and reports on material availability and inventory status to leadership
- Adhere to all applicable safety regulations, site-specific guidelines, and quality expectations
