Responsibilities
- Lead trial teams in state and federal courts
- Manage complex civil litigation from inception to resolution
- Develop case strategy and oversee discovery processes
- Argue motions and appear in court regularly
- Supervise associate attorneys and support staff
- Maintain and grow client relationships
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings
- Represent clients in arbitration and mediation
- Provide legal counsel on risk assessment and case evaluation
- Collaborate with co-counsels and experts
- Handle appellate work when necessary
- Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
- Develop trial exhibits and presentations
- Respond to emergency legal actions
- Advise clients on litigation strategy
- Participate in settlement negotiations
- Maintain accurate case documentation
- Stay current on legal precedents and rulings
- Conduct pretrial conferences
- Oversee jury selection processes
- Draft post-trial motions
- Support internal practice development initiatives
