About the Role
This position involves evaluating licensing applications, performing site visits, and ensuring adherence to state standards through documentation review and communication with applicants and providers in both official languages.
Responsibilities
- Review and process licensing applications for child care and adult care facilities
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with health and safety regulations
- Interpret and apply state statutes and administrative rules accurately
- Communicate licensing requirements to applicants and facility representatives
- Document findings from investigations and follow-up actions
- Maintain accurate records in agency databases
- Respond to inquiries from the public and providers in both English and Spanish
- Collaborate with team members to resolve compliance issues
- Prepare reports summarizing inspection outcomes and trends
- Support continuous improvement of licensing processes
- Ensure timely processing of applications within established timelines
- Identify potential risks to client safety during evaluations
- Provide guidance on corrective actions for non-compliant facilities
- Participate in interagency initiatives related to regulatory oversight
- Assist in training new staff on compliance procedures
- Stay current with changes in licensing laws and policies
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders using bilingual skills
- Escalate serious violations according to protocol
- Coordinate with enforcement units when necessary
- Support equitable access to licensing services across diverse communities
