About the Role
The Licensed Professional Counselor will deliver therapeutic services to individuals and groups, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and support client progress using established clinical methods.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health evaluations for new clients
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Deliver individual counseling sessions in person or remotely
- Facilitate group therapy programs
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Collaborate with other clinicians on care coordination
- Use trauma-informed approaches in all interactions
- Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Follow ethical guidelines and professional standards
- Attend supervision meetings as required
- Participate in team case reviews
- Complete documentation within established timelines
- Coordinate with community partners for client referrals
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Support program evaluation efforts
- Adhere to HIPAA and privacy regulations
- Respond to client needs with cultural sensitivity
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic models
- Assist in developing client resources and materials
Nice to Have
- Experience working in community mental health settings
- Training in cognitive behavioral therapy
- Familiarity with dialectical behavior therapy techniques
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish
- Experience with adolescent and adult populations
- Knowledge of substance use co-occurring disorders
- Previous work in outpatient treatment programs
- Exposure to motivational interviewing methods
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives
- Experience with telehealth platforms
