About the Role
The position involves providing high-quality mental health counseling to individuals and families via telehealth platforms, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and state regulations while maintaining accurate records and contributing to a client-centered care model.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and family therapy sessions using secure video conferencing tools
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to determine treatment needs
- Develop and update personalized treatment plans for clients
- Maintain timely and confidential electronic documentation of client progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations in all clinical activities
- Respond to client communications within established timeframes
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs
- Monitor client outcomes and adjust interventions as needed
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
- Follow state licensing board requirements and scope of practice
- Support crisis intervention protocols when necessary
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the clinical program
- Uphold cultural competence and sensitivity in all client interactions
Nice to Have
- Two or more years of post-licensure clinical experience
- Experience working with adolescents or older adults
- Training in crisis assessment and management
- Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish
- Certification in telemental health
- Experience with EHR platforms such as SimplePractice or TherapyNotes
- Specialization in anxiety, depression, or relationship issues
- Prior work in outpatient or private practice settings
- Familiarity with Medicaid or private insurance documentation
- Participation in peer consultation groups
