About the Role
This role involves leading therapeutic group sessions for individuals with mental health challenges, coordinating care plans, and maintaining clinical documentation while working within a multidisciplinary support framework.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate regular group therapy sessions using established clinical protocols
- Monitor participant progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors and support staff to ensure continuity of care
- Conduct intake assessments and initial client screenings
- Develop individualized treatment goals in alignment with group objectives
- Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards in all client interactions
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Coordinate referrals to additional mental health resources
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
- Uphold safety protocols during virtual and in-person interactions
- Support clients in developing coping strategies and emotional regulation skills
- Maintain consistent communication with care coordinators
- Follow documentation timelines and reporting requirements
Nice to Have
- Two or more years of post-graduate clinical experience
- Specialization in cognitive behavioral therapy or dialectical behavior therapy
- Experience in virtual mental health service delivery
- Bilingual communication abilities
- Training in crisis de-escalation techniques
- Certification in a recognized therapeutic modality
- Prior work with underserved or high-risk populations
- Experience using electronic health record systems
- Supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Published work or presentations in mental health fields
