Responsibilities
- Support attorneys and team members with administrative and operational tasks
- Manage the opening and closing of new legal matters, including conflict searches, engagement letters, and file setup
- Create, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and court submissions, including tables of contents and authorities
- Submit filings to state, federal, and appellate courts using electronic filing systems such as File & ServeXpress
- Interact with court staff to confirm procedures, rules, and filing deadlines
- Handle incoming mail, legal notices, and distribution of documents
- Organize and update electronic and physical client files within the document management platform
- Track case schedules including hearings, depositions, mediations, and key deadlines; distribute daily and weekly appearance reports
- Record attorney time entries and assist with billing processes, client budgets, and related inquiries
- Generate expense reports and coordinate travel logistics
- Process vendor invoices, reimbursement requests, and check approvals
- Respond to client billing questions, support budget tracking, and assist with billing appeals and collections
- Contribute to special projects and operational improvements as assigned
