Responsibilities
- Assist sales teams in advanced-stage negotiations and technical assessments
- Lead in-depth technical discussions with clients, especially around legacy payment systems, fund movement, and regulatory requirements
- Map traditional finance, fintech, platform, and embedded finance business models to efficient, scalable payment infrastructures
- Convert business and technical requirements into actionable integration strategies
- Architect and communicate integration approaches for wallets, payment APIs, identity verification, onboarding, risk systems, and embedded financial tools
- Create reference architectures, integration blueprints, transaction flow documentation, and technical demonstrations
- Act as the primary technical contact during customer engagements when deep expertise is required
- Showcase knowledge in payment authorization success rates, conversion improvements, and transaction performance metrics
- Identify mismatches between existing product features and client expectations
- Distinguish clearly between available functionality, planned roadmap items (including acceleration potential), and custom or experimental development needs
- Transform vague client requests into well-defined, technically feasible scopes
- Work with clients to balance requirements and make tradeoffs that enable deal closure
- Partner with Sales to identify and resolve integration risks early in the sales cycle
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to inform roadmap priorities based on market feedback
- Inform pricing structures, transaction limits, and rollout plans based on technical feasibility
- Develop simple prototypes, middleware, or sample implementations to accelerate integration
- Quickly code small applications or modules to test concepts and unblock technical challenges
- Analyze and interpret client code, API definitions, and system diagrams
- Guide clients in modern integration practices when their internal systems are outdated or inflexible
- Plan for scalability, failure resilience, and operational demands in live payment environments
- Support early implementation phases and troubleshoot initial production issues
- Serve as a technical escalation resource when integrations become complex
- Help shape the long-term vision for scalable post-sales technical support
