Lead – Remote Operations Centre (Solar Asset Management)
Oversee the continuous monitoring and operational performance of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across international sites. This role is responsible for managing a team of monitoring engineers, ensuring accurate data collection, and maintaining seamless communication between remote operations and on-site maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shift activities within the Renewable Operations Centre, ensuring consistent oversight of solar plant performance
- Monitor real-time data through SCADA and remote monitoring platforms to detect anomalies, outages, or generation losses
- Track and prioritize alarms, initiate troubleshooting protocols, and escalate technical issues to field operations and asset management teams
- Review and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate logs for shift handovers, incident escalations, and system outages
- Verify data integrity across monitoring systems and flag communication failures or sensor inaccuracies
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of plant-level issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in solar PV monitoring, BESS operations, or renewable asset management
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring platforms
- Strong grasp of performance metrics for solar PV, wind, and battery storage installations
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Proven ability to lead a technical team, manage shift workflows, and maintain operational discipline
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making under operational pressure
